Being a lover of classic Ferrari GT cars

(like the 250 GT Berlinetta "Tour de France", named after this race) and their gorgeous lines and vintage looks, it is the later races which I choose to focus attention on.Basically, this type of racing was sports car road racing. II driven by Bernard Consten and J. Air Max France Pas Cher,They could be purpose-built prototypes or related to road-going, manufactured sports cars available to the public at the time. It takes the form of circuit auto racing with automobiles that have two seats and enclosed wheels. The Jaguar 3.8 litre Mk. Other classic, but now defunct, sports car races of this type include the likes of the Italian Shox Nz Femme Nike Pas Cherclassics, the Targa Florio (1906-1977) and Mille Miglia (1927-1957). The climactic finish of this series of events was at Clermont Ferrand. Renel won the Touring category. Mostly, the coverage was of the Grand Touring class races. It covered nine days and eight nights, 16 races and 3625 miles. Lastly, the BMW 700 coupé won the Index of Performance group. Basically, it had two distinct classes of cars. The Tour de France Automobile was a multi-day, staged sports car race throughout France; held on her public, paved roads, much like the way the bicycle race (of the same name) is held today. The second class was the Grand Touring (or GT class) and was very much dominated by the bigger engine Ferraris and Porsches. These stops usually represented the finish of a day's stage race and the launch point for all night driving to get to the next day's starting line. It was broadcast on the TV show, "Sports Cavalcade". If you like seeing classic Ferraris with chrome bumperettes and knock-off wire wheels doing battle around racing prepared Porsche 356's, then that black and white footage is sure to bring a huge smile to your face!Auto Film Central is the number one place on the Internet to get historic Euro racing films. First was the Touring class, which held the likes of Jaguar, BMW, Alfa Romeo and other similar sized vehicles. The BMW was expertly driven to this win by the team of Metternich and Hohenlohe.I've seen historic Grand Prix D'Europe coverage of the 1960 race. The GT class racing for that year was won by the Ferrari 250 G.T., piloted by the driving team of Willy Mairesse and Georges BergerChaussures Gucci Femme . Let me tell you, classic auto racing doesn't get any better than road battles run day and night over 3600 miles of French countryside! Starting at Nice it would pass through the cities of Mont Ventoux, Nurburgring, Spa, Montlhéry, Rouen and Le Mans. Who could have ever guessed that outcome? Well enough said about the early beginnings of this historic car race. The Mexican Carrera Panamericana was a similar road race held outside of Europe. The 1960 Tour de France took place between September 15th and 23rd that year. The race was first run in 1899 at break-neck average speeds of 30 miles an hour (50 km/h)! This first event was won by none other than a Frenchman named René de Knyff driving a Panhard et Levassor, a car made by a French manufacturer that was eventually to be taken over by Citro?n.
